As a Senior Software Developer you’ll support the e-commerce technologies and business objectives to assist in the design, implementation and integration of ecommerce applications and supporting systems.
What you do:
- From requirements to delivery, participate in all aspects of development including solution architecture, technical design, coding, QA and ops
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify, prioritize and refine requirements based on an understanding of existing and emerging trends in digital commerce
- Meet requirements with pragmatic technical solutions that are rock solid and can adapt to meet growing business needs
- Investigate and propose recommendations for technical issues and challenges
- Effectively communicate technical and architectural solutions through lightweight documentation, wikis, whiteboards, etc.
- Provide functional and technical expertise for our ecommerce solutions to internal staff
What you bring:
- A Computer Science degree or equivalent fundamentals
- 3 or more years of professional experience working with Java or equivalent
- Deep architectural understanding of web applications, web services and what it takes to develop them at scale
- Experience in an Agile software development environment
- Great communication skills – you listen first, then share knowledge. This goes for both speaking and writing. You have the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- You’re self–motivated with the ability to perform job duties independently
- You’re a problem solver with superior creative and innovative problem-solving skills
- A good team player attitude, even when things get a little crazy. But you’re just as comfortable working solo
