BETSOL is a fast-growing Denver based IT Company. BETSOL is looking for a Java Development Software Engineer. This position will be part of a software development engineering team responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, integrating, testing, implementing, and documenting new and existing software application programs. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Position will be located in Denver Tech Center
Core Responsibilities
- Interacting with end users to gather requirements and scope the systems
- Participating in unit, integration, and system test procedures
- Providing ongoing system support by maintaining and enhancing existing software applications
- Handling multiple tasks and ensuring that tasks are being completed in a timely manner with no or very limited direction
- Developing and documenting tools to enhance application development and testing
- Participating in team meetings to discuss approaches to current projects
- Complying with all established procedures and policies
- Ability to organize and prioritize work independently, with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated & goal-oriented
Primary Requirements
- BS or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
- Design large business critical systems
- Developing, deploying and administering Java/J2EE applications
- Development experience in RESTFUL and SOAP web services technologies using JSON or XML
- Development experience using spring and spring boot
- Used build tools Maven or Gradle
- Experience in dealing with Oracle database
- Familiarity with service-oriented architecture
- In-depth knowledge of UNIX environment and shell scripting
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for Visa sponsorship
Secondary Requirements
- Familiarity working with cloud technologies such as pivotal cloud foundry or AWS
- Familiarity with NO SQL document based DB such as couchbase or Mongo DB
