- In a nutshell
Based in our System Architecture & Development Team you’ll oversee and improve the (continuous) delivery pipeline for our MIT in-house services. Additionally, you’ll research and evaluate new concepts and approaches in the area of continuous delivery pipeline and collaborate with others to get our services continuously delivered in high quality.
- Lead and drive the continuous delivery pipeline
In this exciting role, you’ll define and drive the vision of our delivery pipeline. You’ll be responsible for the definition and implementation of the “continuous” delivery pipeline for self-developed software and work closely with other teams to understand their demand and provide them with proper services.
- Research and evaluate new cloud concepts and approaches
In our ever-changing environment, you’ll perform market research in the field of automation, new development patterns, etc. and adopt to new and future concepts. Furthermore, you’ll challenge and evaluate on-premise vs. cloud solutions.
- Drive continuous deployment at Red Bull Media House
You’ll pioneer in the field of continuous deployment and align the delivery pipeline with the overall platform architecture. To understand the development team’s needs, you’ll work very closely with them and establish a good working relationship.
- Understand and drive automation thinking, concepts and guidelines
Within the MIT departments as well as across developers, you’ll understand and drive automation thinking, concepts and guidelines.
YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES
A minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering (development, architect) OR minimum 1 year of experience in cloud engineering
Strong interest/experience in build & delivery pipeline and automation concepts (Gradle, Ansible, Bamboo, Chef, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, etc.) as well as the ability to define CD strategy
Experience in fundamental web technologies, SaaS solutions, applications frameworks, persistence solutions (SQL, nosql, etc.), delivery systems (CDNs, etc.) and middleware technologies (J2EE, vert.x, Springboot, NodeJS,...)
Familiar with enterprise systems as well as clustering & high availability concepts
In-depth knowledge of Cloud Technologies (AWS, GCP , etc.)
Experience in virtualisation, load balancing and caching technologies
Experience in working in agile teams (Scrum, Kanban)
Strong communication skills & team player
Analytical and conceptual working style
Performance and result/solution orientated
High motivation and willing to constantly self-educate and learn new technologies
University degree in Computer Science/Information or similar
- Fluent in English and ideally German
