This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:



  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience


  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines


  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes


  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management


  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals


  • We are seeking a VP, Software Engineer with deep technical design and Object Oriented development skills. This individual will need to have hands-on ability in Python or Java or other OO language. Also experience working with a mix of enterprise development technologies across different platforms (UNIX and Wintel) and RDBMS (Oracle, PlSQL and SQL Server).  Deep understanding of SDLC processes and automated tools, spanning requirements/issue management, defect tracking, source control, build automation, test automation and release management.


  • Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop) is desirable.


  • In addition to responsibilities as an Application Developer Lead, the role will also liaise with business (Corporate Controllers, Capital Controllers, Regulatory reporting, Quants) and technology counterparts in all lines of Business across the globe during Requirements, Development, Testing, Implementation & Post-production phase of the project.


  • Strong UI/Data Visualization skills - Tableau, Bokeh, D3, Spotfire, HTML5/JavaScript.  Experience with Agile methodology (SCRUM, LEAN) is desirable.


  • Application development experience with open source tools like Apache frameworks, Tomcat, Ant, Maven build tools. Understanding of Regulatory Landscape across various Jurisdictions e.g. Fed mandates, PRA etc.
