DUTIES: Provide technical leadership within teams responsible for developing and launching new products and services under the Comcast Xfinity mobile brand; develop the architecture and design Business Support Systems (BSS) software that manage Billing, Order Management and Provisioning functions used by the Xfinity Mobile team to sell and support mobile products and services, utilizing Ericsson Conceptwave, Arterra Platforms, AMDOCS, CSG, CRM and Catalog tools; participate in discovery sessions to understand business objectives and system requirements; collaborate with Business Operations and Product teams to create user stories aligned with epics; create architecture blueprints, designs, and sequence diagrams that allow developers to build software based on specified requirements; design, analyze, architect, and implement web-based applications using J2EE, Java, JavaScript, Angular JS, Struts, WebLogic Server, and TomCat; and deliver wireless systems to support MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) launch and operations; design APIs, using SAAJ and RESTful, to support new billing integration and other business needs; utilize AJAX and JQuery to optimize user interfaces and load field values from Oracle Database; improve existing features and troubleshoot bugs; work cross-functionally with development teams and third party vendors to develop and integrate solutions; plan and monitor integration activities of new software modules with other components in a distributed environment; identify upcoming mobile network API changes and ensure interoperation with the billing platform; provide technical leadership to assigned projects through end-to-end solution delivery, working with Project Managers and Scrum Masters to ensure solutions are designed to meet business requirements and delivered on schedule; collaborate with QA teams on test plans to ensure solutions perform as designed; and mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior-level engineers.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and five (5) years of experience in developing billing provisioning and order management systems for mobile telephony (voice and data) utilizing Ericsson Conceptwave, Arterra Platforms, AMDOCS, CSG, CRM and Catalog tools; and developing solution architectures; of which two (2) years must include experience in mobile virtual networks, Java, JavaScript, AngularJS, and Oracle.
