UX Designer for Growing HealthTech Startup at Force Therapeutics (New York, NY)

We are looking for a UX designer with strong capabilities in the creation of engaging UX -- as well as a commitment to building a company with a lasting impact.


Join our growing Product Team and work with our Director of Product and User Researcher. You’ll be the lead UX Designer and help reshape and make beautiful the traditionally not-so-beautiful apps in the healthcare space.

What you’ll be doing 
- Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams on a daily basis 
- Develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups, and specifications for responsive web designs and mobile apps (iOS/Android) as needed 
- Collaborate with the Lead User Researcher on design-based research to facilitate the development, implementation, and evaluation of new features 
- Contribute to the team’s overall effectiveness with suggestions to improve workflows


Things we’re looking for 
- Strong conceptualization and visual communication ability 
- Previous professional UX/UI experience 
- Attention to detail 
- Strong written and verbal communication skills 
- Believes in our mission and foundational values 
- Analytical and creative 
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment 
- 2-5 years experience in a professional setting


Ideally, you have experience 
- With Sketch, Invision, and other design tools 
- Contemporary user-centered design methodologies - design-based research (usability research, competitor analysis, user scenario, storyboard, user flow) 
- Wireframing user flow prototype - hi-fidelity mockup design 
- Collaborating with an agile tech team 
- Gathering insights from usability testing - think aloud protocol, video observation, demographic questionnaire, qualitative analysis, video analysis.
