Are you a developer that wants to get into security? Does the concept of +40TB of log data per day excite you? Want to battle cyber criminals every day? Want to work on important problems, your way? Atlassian has an amazing opportunity for you!
The primary focus of your role will be to bring engineering rigor to the Security Team. You'll take ownership of the technical direction of the team's automation, and build new monitoring/analytics systems. You'll be building new systems, developing automation and crushing challenging security problems. More than that, you'll be watching over our corporate environment and Atlassian cloud services, hunting for signs of compromise, and implementing high-fidelity alerts.
Don't worry if you aren't a security pro. If you're a strong engineer with an interest in security, we'll work with you to develop your security skills.
Your day to day will include:
- Writing code to build and contribute to security tools
- Deploying, configuring, and maintaining security services and infestructure
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- 3+ years experience working in a development role
- Software development experience with Python or Golang
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with container management and micro-services architectures such as Docker.
- Knowledge of at least one configuration management tool (preferably Ansible)
- Deep understanding of Linux systems.
- Serious troubleshooting skills across different levels of the stack
- Advanced networking experience.
- Passion for collaboration and strong interpersonal skills
It's great, but not required, if you have:
- Fluency in C or C++ programming languages
- Experience working in a security role
- Contributions to the security community or open source projects
- Data analytics experience
- Worked with large scale cloud infrastructures
