Koneksa Health is a three year old health information technology firm. Our customers are pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies developing new medicines through clinical trials. Koneksa’s software platform is used to integrate, manage and analyze certain types of ‘real world’ data that are gathered in from patients who participate in clinical studies. This includes data that can be reported by patients using a mobile device such as a phone or tablet, or gathered from other types of medical devices that can be used remotely to collect important data such as activity, sleep, lung function or vital signs.



Responsibilities


We are seeking a full-stack senior Javascript engineer to help take our product, stack and team to the next level as we enter a new phase of growth.  Our team is driven by the opportunity to leverage cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation in the world of healthcare. We are a small tech team of 5 so any new hire will have the opportunity to make a major impact in the future of our company.


As a senior engineer, you’ll contribute full-stack to our frontend and backend code to architect and build new features for our platform.  Our architecture is made up of several NodeJS / MongoDB services sitting on AWS, which integrate with many IoT health device APIs.


You’ll act as a rotating support lead 1 week each month, as we continue to deploy our technology to different studies across the globe.  You’ll take an active role in the development of the technology team, helping to code review, enforce best practices and choose the tools and technologies we use.  


Requirements



  • 3+ years experience building web applications in a production environment

  • Deep understanding of Javascript and web technologies - passionate about everything from user experience to scalability and security

  • Attention to detail - in the world of healthcare there is not much margin for carelessness

  • Experience with a modern front-end framework/library such as React, Angular, Ember, Polymer

  • You can design architecture at a high level but don’t mind getting your hands dirty with nuts and bolts

  • You care about code simplicity and performance

  • Team player who is a strong communicator and gets along well with others
