Full Stack Developer

Gorilla Logic is working with our client, who is an industry leader in providing financial payment services, to help build their team of highly intelligent and capable engineers. We are looking for a Full Stack Developer, who will work with a team of engineers building and maintaining our customer’s web application. Based in San Jose, Costa Rica, this is a key role within our customer’s engineering team, requiring extensive web development experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and React/Redux, and experience doing web services development with Node.js. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and determination.
 
Responsibilities

• Develop new and support existing user-facing and backend features
• 
  
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• 
  
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• 
  
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• 
  

Requirements

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 
  
• 3+ years of web development experience is required
• 
  
• 2+ years of web services development experience is required
• 
  
• 6+ months experience with the React framework is required
• 
  
• 6+ months of Node.js development experience is required
• 
  
• Experience with Postgres a big plus
• 
  
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX
• 
  
• Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is preferred
• 
  
• Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• 
  
• Strong communication skills to interact with Agile team members
•
