As a member of our Infrastructure
Development team, youll immediately put your love of technology into action.
Each day, you and your team will be responsible for making sure our platforms,
servers and networks are online and secure. Youll work together, evaluating,
selecting, implementing, integrating, maintaining, upgrading, documenting and
designing our infrastructure. Youll find new and creative solutions to
troubleshoot and resolve issues. Communication is key, both in problem solving
with your supervisors and collaborating with your coworkers, as well as other
teams in the network.
This Infrastructure
Developer role in the Mainframe Development team is responsible for the
installation, configuration, and support of highly resilient and stable
Mainframe infrastructure through automated scripting rather than manual
processes.
In
addition to Mainframe Systems Programming skills the ideal candidate will
have experience with software-driven systems management using various scripting
languages (such as JCL, REXX, PERL, PHP, PYTHON, JYTHON, and zOSMF Workflows)
and will also have an aptitude and a passion for developing software systems to
solve complex problems through automation tools.
The ideal
candidate will also be familiar with RESTful APIs using Swagger (or similar
framework), be passionate about technology, and open to new ideas and ways to
manage Mainframe infrastructure software.
This role
requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Ability to articulate and share
clear, concise complex technical findings to management in understandable terms - Maintains proficiency in these key
areas: -
- Hardware Architecture (performance
testing, monitoring, operations) - Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program
managements, network management) - Design (compliance, security)
- Network Engineering (planning,
provision)
- Hardware Architecture (performance
- Proficiency in more than one
specific infrastructure technology - Ability to execute with
understanding of best practices and JPMC policies top of mind - Ability to collaborate with
high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common
goals - Bachelor's/Master's
Degree in Computer Science, related field or Equivalent work experience - Demonstrated
experience and knowledge of the following technologies: - Substantial
direct hands-on experience performing WebSphere Applications System (WAS)
systems programming in a mainframe z/OS operating system environment
involving maintenance/installation - Experience
with USS - Experience
with zOS ISPF, JCL, and JES2 - IBM
Program Product installation experience - Experience
with CA/ACF2 - Independent
Software Vendor (ISV) installations *thorough knowledge of SMPE
desired*
