What you will do:
As part of the Analytics Centre of Excellence, the Big Data Analytics Enterprise Architect assumes accountability for the design and evolution of the big data analytics architectures in Vodafone Group. This will mean working with Hadoop and its deployments, tools that integrate with it, data sourcing, quality, modelling, wrangling tools and various tools that can help data scientists to work with data.
You will discover, prototype and evaluate big data technologies while supporting Vodafone Group and Local Markets in designing and delivering Analytics architectures based on established Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, R, Python, Kafka…), on premise and utilizing cloud providers.
About you:
You will be the trusted advisor from the requirements definition, through the delivery phase and the evolution of the platforms, especially in terms of new functionalities and integration of new tools and will enjoy bring innovation in processes and products as part of your contribution to the team. you need to be hands on in testing and working with the tools and create HLD documents that will establish the standards, blueprints and benchmarks to install, operate and maintain the platform & Tools.
Your experience:
Strong Big Data design experience with knowledge in all or some of the following areas of expertise:
- Hadoop distribution Cloudera
- Processing engines Spark/Flunk
- Streaming pipelines using Kafka
- DQ/DI and metadata management tools
- Visualization and profiling tools
- Consistent track record of delivering successful IT architecture designs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confirmed ability to produce quality documentation for high level design work and bid material.
- Experience of operating in an ITIL environment, with a deep understanding of general business principles and practices to include an understanding of business economics, customer markets and operating environments.
