As part of the SDS Project Management group, you will work with cross functional engineering and operations teams to help build and apply cutting edge machine learning and data science technologies to solve problems in manufacturing/supply chain space. You will be part of a fast moving, innovative team where your expertise to drive the analytics initiatives is impactful to mitigating fraud, waste and abuse and ensuring quality products in the hands of our customers.
This position can be based in Cupertino or Elk Grove, CA.
Key Qualifications:
5+ years of software project management, or analytics experience preferably working on machine learning projects
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a curiosity to discover opportunities to leverage data to help make great quality products
Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Ability to influence teams to adopt best practices; ability to work across a large number of teams to enforce process and efficient outcomes in a data-driven environment
Ability to manage the successful implementation and rollout of moderate to extremely complex portfolio of projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Supply Chain/Manufacturing background
Demonstrated experience in managing initiatives with large scale machine learning systems
Basic understanding of modern machine learning development techniques
Description:
Lead the roadmap for manufacturing & supply chain analytics eco system and keep the team focused on critical path
Collaborate with other Apple teams to promote cross-team technology sharing
The candidate must be capable of interacting with employees at all levels of the organization and possess the judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals in an environment with multiple and, at times, competing priorities.
The candidate must be able to lead project teams with the highest level of proactive management and technical leadership skills to resolve project issues and ensure that project objectives and requirements are met.
These attributes will be used in project planning, problem solving and root cause analysis of issues that arise during implementations.
The candidate must be comfortable communicating and presenting to leadership and executive team
Education:
BS or MS Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or related engineering degrees
