We are looking for a senior solution architect and hands-on software engineer to help create industry leading software components in the Core Modules team such as our Risk Engine and Portfolio Optimizer.
You will be responsible to drive the solution architecture and hands-on contribute to the development and delivery of software components and services using technologies such as Java, Python, REST Microservices, and Docker. In these areas you will also provide technical leadership to our in-house team of Quant Engineers and Developers. Your understanding and ability to link technologies and business requirements is key, and your proficency in communicating complex subjects to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will enable your success in this role.
- University degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- At least 5 years of working experience in solution architecture in a quantitative and polyglot environment (Python, Java), including experience in communicating to senior management
- Knowledge of multiple programming languages is beneficial (Java, Python, Matlab)
- Knowledge of the web programming stack (HTTP, REST, HTML, Javascript, JSON)
- Knowledge of datastores (SQL or NoSQL)
- Knowledge of financial markets and quant finance
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Deployment technologies (AWS, google cloud, Jenkins, Docker, BDD, Cucumber)
- Passion for applying technology to solve business problems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to make coherent technical arguments
- Successful project delivery experience
- Eligible to live and work in Switzerland
- Strong communication skills in English and fluency in German
