We're hiring an experienced full-stack software engineer who is looking for a new challenge at a fast-growing and passionate early stage start-up, backed by leading healthcare investors.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work closely with our entire team: leadership, user experience, development, QA, integration, and services. In addition to being a great developer, you’re also responsible for informing infrastructure and systems architecture, driving predictable release processes, actively participating in product collaboration, and achieving timely delivery. Our product and services span analytics, machine learning, workflow, desktop/mobile, and patient engagement tools allowing you the opportunity to develop a variety of applications across the platform.

This position is full time and based in our West Loop Chicago headquarters with no travel anticipated. You must live in Chicago, we are not accepting remote applicants at this time.
Responsibilities

- Own adherence to processes such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, testing, retrospectives, etc.
- Help create and maintain product and release documentation
- Help develop standard operating procedures and best practices and document those processes
- Keep current with latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet growing business and system requirements
- Care about patient privacy, help ensure compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- 7+ years proven success in a development role, healthcare technology experience preferred
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft .NET UI development stack (ASP.NET MVC & WCF) required
- 5+ years of front-end experience. A solid foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required, while experience with more modern technologies is preferred (i.e. Bootstrap, SASS, Node, etc.)
- 5+ years of designing and tuning data access components using the Microsoft .NET application data stack (EF & MS SQL)
- Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, D3, etc, is preferred
- Experience and working knowledge of agile methodologies, since you will be managing these
- Excellent organizational and time management and prioritization skills
- Be a self-starter with a healthy competitive drive to succeed and an ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills
