As the iOS Engineer, you will work closely with our team of mobile engineers to deliver regular updates to our flagship Learn With Homer iOS app. Using the latest features of Apple’s iOS ecosystem, you’ll harness your game development and graphics programming skills to build a product that is inspiring children worldwide.

Responsibilities
- Develop functioning mobile products quickly without incurring too much technical debt
- Collaborate with a team of multiple developers using the Agile/SCRUM process
- Ship iOS apps with the iOS SDK and XCode on a regular schedule
Qualifications
- Must have contributed to the release of at least one medium to large-sized application in the App Store
- At least 2 years relevant work experience, including 1 year industry experience
- Proficiency with Swift 3 and Cocoa Touch APIs
- Knowledge of Objective-C
- Strong grasp of autolayout and size classes
- Experience using Core Animation (and/or OpenGL ES) in user interfaces
- Strong grasp of ARC and memory management
- Proficiency with performance and memory tuning tools like Instruments
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Familiarity with unit testing and continuous integration
- Experience in game, animation or multimedia development
- Strong data modeling skills
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful web service APIs
- Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
- Familiarity with image compression
- Familiarity with Grand Central Dispatch, threading and caching
- Strong Git version control skills
- Excellent communication skills
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of OpenGL ES, Cocos2D and Spine animation framework
- Experience optimizing animations for performance
- Knowledge of other web technologies like Django/Python, NodeJS, HTML5, etc
- Experience with Amazon Web Services is a plus
- Prior experience in a startup environment
- Enthusiasm for Open Source tools and solutions
- Good knowledge of encryption and security techniques
