iOS Developer, MedTech at Scanadu (Sunnyvale, CA)

As a Scanadu iOS Developer, you will work with a cross-functional team to deliver a high-quality, consumer-friendly application that complies with established design control procedures for medical device software. You will be a part of a small development group that will have a major impact on the launch of our first and successive consumer-focused medical products. Additional responsibilities include:



  • Writing detailed software unit designs

  • Reviewing and verifying detailed designs to ensure that they meet software and product requirements

  • Implementing new software components and maintaining existing ones

  • Implementing custom UI graphics, animations, and transitions.

  • Developing software for testability

  • Developing unit and integration test plans

  • Testing and validating software units

  • Complying with formal software design control procedures

  • Participating in formal design and code reviews

  • Analyzing and documenting defect reports


Skills & Requirements


Required Experience:



  • Successful candidates will have at least 3 years of professional experience with iOS development, as well as familiarity with version control systems, such as GIT.  

  • Must be comfortable rapidly developing at all levels of the iOS stack, including UI, middle layer (protocols and delegates), sqlite database, and custom frameworks.  

  • Must also have experience communicating with RESTful web services, and even better if they have implemented the web service themselves.


Preferred Experience:



  • Experience architecting an iOS app, with one already on the iTunes App store.

  • Experience with CoreGraphics, CoreAnimation, CoreData, Storyboards and Auto Layout

  • Experience with automated integration testing with Instruments

  • Experience representing lots of data in an elegant way. (UI graphing / plotting)

  • Experience building software under IEC 62304 design controls

  • Experience with formal design methodologies

  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA.

  • Experience with integration environments like Jenkins or Xcode Server
