Software Engineer (Medical AI, generalist with front-end focus)
Your Mission: Would you like to
- Help bring to market AI solutions that will improve cancer care in thousands of hospitals?
- Build up our software products from the ground up, and have massive impact from Day One?
- Create best-in-class user experience for busy physicians, and patients being diagnosed or treated for cancer?
Required Skills: You must have
- Proven ability to implement modern algorithms (Python, C++, or similar) with focus on code quality.
- Proven ability to develop software in a team-based environment
- Proven ability to develop user interfaces (UI) for software products from the ground up.
- Passion to create great user experience. Strong familiarity with UI frameworks (e.g. JavaScript React or similar).
- Strong communication skills and the flexibility to feel at home in a start-up, as one of the first employees working closely with the founders.
Desirable Skills: One or more of these would be a definite plus
- Experience from a startup or a fast-growing company a big plus.
- Passion for biomedical topics a big plus.
- Commercial software development experience a plus. Generalist ("full-stack") profile a plus
- Creative flair and proven ability to design visualizations and mock-ups (consumer or B2B)
- Open-source activity and community leadership (presentations at meetups, conferences)
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms (Amazon AWS, Azure, GCE or similar)
- Degree in a quantitative discipline a plus (e.g. CS, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry...).
- Experience in any of these is a plus: computer graphics, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning (e.g. TensorFlow), big data (e.g. Spark) , health IT (e.g. HL7, FHIR); – but you can also learn from us!
