Our IT-Team focuses on the continuous improvement of our smava ecosystem for the personal credit solutions. We constantly develop our online loan comparison platform and implement new product features. The whole application system consists of more than 90 microservices. That is why we are looking for highly skilled Senior Java Software Engineer (m/f) – FinTech Application who has strong experiences in designing and building scalable high-performing applications in Java and Spring Boot. Senior Java Software Engineer (m/f) – FinTech Application

Your tasks:



  • Being able to investigate the Java code fast and independently within microservices environment

  • Prepare and explain technical concepts for your less senior colleagues

  • Examine dependencies between components

  • Understand business domain and be able to identify automated test strategies

  • Constantly deliver good quality code on time

  • Identify potential ways to improve and ease production delivery (alerts, reports, monitoring)


Must haves:



  • You have gained 3 years of development expertise with Java, Spring (Dependency Injection, Transaction, REST\MVC) after passing university degree as a Software Engineer

  • You have worked with Java, Spring Boot at least in one project

  • You have successfully implemented microservices in production

  • You have a proven record of solved problems with the outstanding results

  • You like tricky challenges and are always happy to help to your peers and advice on queries related to applications in production grade

  • Experience in building distributed, scalable and resilient infrastructure

  • Proven expertise with messaging services (e.g. RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ or JMS)

  • You possess SQL data management knowledge

  • Working experience in an agile driven and fast moving environment

  • Good understanding of software design patterns and best practices

  • Able to communicate clearly with managers and the team members


Not necessarily needed, but also helpful:



  • Working experiences with Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Development (CD)

  • Expertise in dealing with distributed streaming platforms like e.g. Apache Kafka
