Who we are...
Engineers at Hypothesis get to work across our three offerings: Discovery, Transformation and Delivery. We are seen as partners not just executors, influencing the "why" and "what" as well as deciding "how" we work.
Whether it's the trade-off between the stability of a tried-and-tested technology and time-to-market or helping to shape the MVP in order to validate an assumption, pragmatism and customer value are at the core of everything we do. Working within the team to iteratively improve not only on the product but also how we work allows you to shape every facet of our day-to-day.
Our diverse team of full-stack, polyglot developers hails from four continents and speaks six languages. Our people bring the magic, whether it's within a project team or to our weekly engineering afternoon where we play with tech and share what we’ve learned.
Who you are...
As the next member of our tight-knit team, you’re a truly full stack developer, not someone who's dabbled in front end work but lives and breathes backend (or vice versa). A well-rounded, user-focused problem solver; you will play an integral role in building out our growing engineering capability.
Being a pragmatic craftsman, you have opinions that you’re willing to share about patterns, paradigms, languages, and frameworks, with a dedication to delivering real value to the end user. You understand the need for users to solve their problems on the fly.
- You’re able to leave your ego at the door (our team is a tight-knit group that’s always learning from each other)
- You’ve been the go-to person in your team, and have a passion for helping those around you grow (you’re a leader rather than a manager)
- You get why you build things (development and technology are awesome, but building something doesn't happen in a vacuum)
- You've got a desire to have an impact on our culture (our people are our secret sauce, the better our people are, the more everyone benefits)
- You’ve been building solutions with a user focus (it's all about the user)
- You're a polyglot developer (being an expert is awesome, putting on blinkers... not so much)
- You’re passionate about building something that people will really love to use (we're not just cutting code, we're achieving real outcomes)
- You love learning new things and where they might fit in (there are no silver bullets)
We’re not looking for an ordinary individual - if you’re smart, passionate about building great products, have a solid engineering background, and with an understanding of how technology can affect real change, then you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on not only our business and culture but also that of our clients.
