Superior Group
is seeking a Sr. Desktop Technician/PC Technician with an
Active Secret DoD Clearance to work on a contract basis for our client located in Orlando, FL.
Rate: $19/hr Firm
Target Start: 9/17/2018
Focus on replacement of obsolete general office desktop computing systems with the installation of new desktop/ systems. Rotate with Data Technicians to identify systems being replaced and imaging new desktop systems.
Specific Duties:
Ensure user data and settings are identified
Troubleshoot and help with the Client's Help Desk
Ensure old desktop systems is backed
-up
Run Desktop DNA to preserve user settings
Replace with new desktop system
Migrate peripherals such as scanners and printers
Restore user data and user specific settings
Validate hardware and applications are functioning properly
Each technician will have the opportunity to perform rework or address installs of non
-standard hardware or software on a rotational basis
Document process and identify areas requiring follow

Required Skills / Qualifications:
-A
minimum of 2 recent years of technical computer experience within the area of desktop hardware and Microsoft’s operating systems (Windows 2000 and XP)

A Minimum of 2 years of experience as a computer technician.

Active Secret DoD Clearance
Additional Information:
Must have or be able to quickly acquire a current DoD security clearance
Familiarity or preferably recent experience with Linux.
-Experience with Dell hardware.
-Very desirable for install technicians to have prior customer service or help desk support experience
-Must be sharp and very able to work independently.
-Must have good communication skills and penmanship for documenting install
-Provide timely performance and reporting to meet project objectives
