Our client is a cutting-edge SaaS company located in Downtown Boston, they are looking to add a Lead Frontend Engineer with strong React skills to the team. This innovative start-up is owned by a publicly traded company that has been around for over 100 years, so this really is the best of both worlds.
Their product is geared towards employees or HR professionals and essentially acts as a web-based marketplace where business professionals can make quick and easy changes to a variety of workplace benefits, including health, vision, dental and 401(k) plans.

Salary: $90K - $125K
Responsibilities
• Building out new features on existing applications (re-factoring other features) using React/Redux, JavaScript and ES6
• Solve software development problems as they arise, open to asking colleagues for feedback and assistance
• Work within the team to contribute creative ideas and Test Driven Development
• Participate in pair-programming and code reviews while effectively collaborating with peers
• Work in an Agile environment with two-week sprints
Requirements
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer OR Senior Software Engineer
• Experience with ONE backend programming language such as Scala, Python, Java 8, Golang, etc. (they're using Scala and Go)
• Professional experience in a production environment with React.js OR Node.js (currently using Redux, ES6, Webpack, and Node.js)
• Comfortable with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/OR MongoDB
• Interested in doing fullstack JavaScript development
Desired Skills
• Experience with MongoDB, GCP/Kubernetes, and/or AWS is a PLUS
• Any professional experience with Scala or React/Redux is a PLUS
