Sr. QA Analyst at OpenLogix Corporation (Detroit, MI)

Position: Sr QA Analyst

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Detroit, MI - Need locals only

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with business to develop test plans.
• Execution of test plans and recording of results
• Defect Reporting
• Collaboration with architecture, development and maintenance teams.
• Ensuring testing best practices are implemented.
• Leveraging QA Automation where possible

Duties:

• Applies strong knowledge of QA principles, methodologies, and techniques to test and ensure the quality of the software.
• Takes the lead on difficult defect detection, problem solving and troubleshooting with complex software.
• Detects problems where standard practice and / or software has failed to meet customer requirements.
• Works with application development team and customer to ensure that all customer requirements / problems are met and resolved.
• Addresses escalated technical defects identified by less experienced team members.
• Provides support in areas such as feasibility studies and design review.
• Manage time effectively, communicate status accurately to scrum masters and project managers.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience analyzing functional and technical requirements (Use Cases) and mapping documents and transforming them into a comprehensive test plan.
• Must have experience in SDLC and Agile-like software development.
• Must have intermediate to advanced skills using SQL or other Query tools
• Ability to develop complex and optimized SQL Queries
• Experience using HP Quality Center and ALM, or similar products, for test plan development and defect tracking.
• Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodology.
• Strong proficiency with requirements gathering tools.
• Strong knowledge of project management tools and concepts.
• Experience with Soap Ui and Soap UI automation is mandatory.
• Knowledge on performance testing and gathering performance test metrics.

Technical proficiency:

Databases: Sql developer, toad, Oracle, SQL server

Software products: SOAP UI, Postman,load runner, eclipse

Testing tools: UFT,TFS, Squids, QC, QTP, ALM, and JIRA. Service now, service desk

Programming languages: VB script, Java, PL SQL, HTML, groovy

Message formats: SOAP, XML, XSD, WSDL, API, RAML, SWAGGER REST And SOAP we service standards
