This position is part of the Education Technology agile teams responsible for those world-class education products. This role is responsible for executing the Education Technology Performance Engineering Strategy. You will work with peers and leads to enhance test design and improve process standards, with a focus on effectiveness and quick feedback driven approaches. Delivery-focused testing and high-quality standards is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
· Drive the performance testing strategy for the Education Technology Platform
· Use production monitoring and logging to model performance traffic
· Code appropriate scripts to handle load testing, soak testing, stress testing, and performance profiling
· Create reports and in-depth analysis
· Maintain respective performance testing and load generation environments
· Coordinate with Development to prioritize, troubleshoot, and fix defects
· Work to deliver quick testing feedback in a Continuous Delivery and Agile working environment
· Participate in release management and production validation as needed
· Attend customer user sessions, refining test cases to always be user-focused
· Maintain escaped defect targets
Technologies: Locust.io, Python, New Relic, Kibana, Linux, Jenkins, Charles Proxy and/or Fiddler, Docker. Experience with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or D2L is a plus.
Technical Skills:
· Understanding of performance, load and stress testing
