Cloud Platform Engineer

Salary Range: $130,000 to $160,000 Per Annum

Location: New York City / Dallas /Salt Lake City

My Client, a Tier 1 Investment Bank, which is comprised of our Technology & Digital Division, is at the forefront of technological advancement within the financial sector. My client is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team to create financial web applications that push the boundaries of innovation within the industry.

A Cloud Platform Engineer is required to join the Development team within the Financial Services Industry. The Cloud Platform Engineer will be familiar with one or more of Java, Python, Golang or Groovy. The Cloud Platform Engineer will have experience developing applications in either Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Services.

Job Summary & Responsibilities (External), Basic Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications

  • Full Software lifecycle development from requirements through design, testing, development, release and demise.
  • Development using serverless platforms.
  • Build services to integrate on-premises systems with public cloud providers and software libraries.

We are Looking For;

  • 3 -8 years experience of either Java/Python/Golang/Groovy programming language
  • Experience developing applications in either Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Services
  • Experience using microservices such as Spring Boot
  • In-depth understanding of algorithms and data structure
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD and configuration management skills
  • Analytical mindset, creativity, and commercial focus to deliver optimal solutions and see through a complex problem set
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and collaborative skills
