QA (SDET) Software Development Engineer in Test at OpTech (Miami, FL)

QA (SDET) Software Development Test Engineer:

Location:        Miami / Miramar, FL

Duration:       12+ Months

Rate:              Based on experience

Requirement:

• Deep passion to deliver quality solution and work closely with the development team. SDET will have opportunity to set up new frameworks, create automated test scripts in a CI/CD environment, work with a variety of AWS services and continually optimize our automation processes.
• Proven record of developing and enhancing test automation framework for an enterprise E-Commerce product.
• Very good understanding of Java.
• Worked in agile methodology (preferably scrum) and experience in effective story planning for Product Increment.
• Work with lead to own QA automation process, develop and implement testing techniques, plan the approach to sufficiently test the functionality of new and existing applications.
• Design and build automated test suites. Utilize innovative testing technologies to develop product's automation testing strategy.
• Development/execution of test plans and test scripts
• Works with cross functional team to establish/maintain consistent test methodology.
• Microservices automation experience
• Fault Injection testing experience

Responsibilities:

• Enhance and maintain the test automation suites of automation team.

• Plan automation scope three sprints ahead and focus on:

• Framework enhancement

• Script Maintenance

• New automation scripts

• Support QA automation and QA manual teams

• Work closely with Manual QA Team, development team and DevOps

• Make sure all suites are up and running (sanity, smoke, regression & E2E) on Jenkins

• Making sure all code standard is being followed specially at the time of code merge

• Make sure team is on track and will be delivering all assigned task on time.

• Communicate all concerns and status with team lead on timely manner.

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years experience in automation testing of consumer facing applications on web/mobile.

• 5+ years experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of quality assurance standards for testing

• Automation experience (Selenium, Appium, Soap UI, RestAssured, Postman, Jira)

• API & Integration Testing

• Strong analytical & debugging skills

• Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies

• Extensive hands on experience with object-oriented programming using technologies like Core Java, Restful, SOAP, message queues, Apachi Kafka, Jenkins, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Maven, Gradle etc.

• Detailed knowledge of Android and IOS devices

• Experience with CI/CD technologies, such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket (or other Git server), and Jenkins

• Groovy scripting experience.

Behavioral Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written a must

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

• Ability to work under pressure in a multi-task environment

• Experience working on complex, large-scale projects
