Lead Software Engineer - Big Data at Ultra Tendency (Magdeburg, Deutschland)

Lead your own development team and our customers to success! Ultra Tendency is looking for someone who convinces not just by writing excellent code, but also through strong presence and leadership. 


At Ultra Tendency you would:



  • Work in our office in Berlin/Magdeburg and on-site at our customer's offices

  • Make Big Data useful (build program code, test and deploy to various environments, design and optimize data processing algorithms for our customers)

  • Develop outstanding Big Data application following the latest trends and methodologies

  • Be a role model and strong leader for your team and oversee the big picture

  • Prioritize tasks efficiently, evaluating and balancing the needs of all stakeholders


Ideally you have:



  • Strong experience in developing software using Python, Scala or a comparable language

  • Proven experience with data ingestion, analysis, integration, and design of Big Data applications using Apache open-source technologies

  • Profound knowledge about with data engineering technology, e.g. Kafka, SPARK, HBase, Kubernetes

  • Strong background in developing on Linux

  • Solid computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures and programming skills in distributed systems)

  • Languages: Fluent English and German is a plus
