The Role(s)
We're looking for talented front end web developers to join our successful and growing team to help us further enhance our products.
You will be self-motivated and pro-active, with excellent communication skills.
Working on multiple projects, you will have a broad range of development tasks to complete and you will be working in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
You will be passionate about web application development and enjoy building software to meet our customer’s needs.
Whether you've recently been in education or have a track record producing commercial software we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
You will be part of a team responsible for development and maintenance of our web based desktop application (Javascript, Node.js, ReactJS). The application controls our 3D SLAM data processing engine; visualizes, exports & manipulates collected data; and integrates with third-party tools. You will need to interface with local services, remote web services and third-party tools and utilities.
You will:
- Write high-quality, well-structured, maintainable code and documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement in the team, and in the company's products and processes.
- Provide insight and feedback to the product and support teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience in a development role
- Excellent Javascript development skills
- Proven skills in HTML, CSS/SASS, Javascript (ES6), ReactJS (or other modern Javascript framework such as Ember, Angular, Vue)
- Experience with distributed version control (ideally git)
- Experience using 3rd party APIs and SDKs
- Awareness of Agile software development methodologies
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Self-motivated and pro-active
Desirable:
- User Experience Design
- Experience working with 3D Data, 3D visualisation, three.js or WebGL
- Experience with JIRA / Jenkins
- Experience or skills with Electron, PHP, MySQL, Python
- Experience developing web service APIs (REST)
