As a Collibra Platform Software Engineer, you will be a member of the Firmwide Metadata Repository (MDR) team.   The MDR team leverage their data governance technical knowledge and industry experience to implement Metadata Management and Data Governance solutions for all lines of business at JP Morgan Chase.
 
The ideal candidate will have practical working experience of the Collibra Data Governance Platform including all modules of the Data Governance Center including configuring Collibras software as well as having written custom workflows.  Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent (verbal and written) communication skills, the ability to communicate clearly as well as deliver customer presentations and facilitate data stewardship and data governance discussions to arrive at the best solution based upon the business, application and technologies drivers present in a given customer situation. The successful candidate will have the ability to work cooperatively with team members, partners and client and negotiate a solution that is acceptable to all parties.
Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years or more of hands-on experience in workflow and/or data workflow management systems.

  • BA or BS in Business or Computer Science

  • Experience in consulting with senior-level executives

  • Working knowledge of Collibra Data Governance Center

  • Working knowledge of Activiti BPMN technology

  • Benchmark design, development and execution

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, analytical and problem solving

  • Experience with one or more of the following: data scanners, data dictionaries, data warehouses, reporting or system extracts, metadata, business semantics, Big Data.

  • Solid understanding of current data governance topics

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in data issues such as data quality, reference data etc.

  • Practical knowledge of database systems (RDBMS)

  • Practical knowledge of Java

  • Practical knowledge of scripting (e.g., Unix shell, )

  • Practical knowledge of API access (e.g., REST)
