Purpose of the role:
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Cloud Operations manager and under his leadership and as a team member will ensure our cloud and onsite infrastructure are always ready to serve thousands of concurrent users around the world and participate in infrastructure improvements and planning.
What you will do:
- Design and implement highly-available and scalable solutions
- Participate in the maintenance and evolution of our cloud-based SaaS platform and infrastructure
- Develop, implement and continuously improve the monitoring and alerting systems for our infrastructure and middleware
- Automate tasks, build jobs, deployment and other processes
- Mitigate downtime during planned interruptions
- Deploy new server application updates, as well as system updates and security patches
- Analyze critical application issues, formalize issue reporting and escalate accordingly
- Provide system support to SpotMe onsite teams for server and network deployment and troubleshooting
- Take corrective actions to resolve system events (log analysis, disk management, database, application server)
What you should have:
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience, you justify a solid experience in the Linux ecosystem and open-source, including at least 3-4 years in Debian GNU / Linux environment.
- Solid experience with configuration management and automation tools - Ansible is a big plus.
- Experience with provisioning tools – Cobbler is a plus
- Experience with source code version control systems (Git). Experience with CI/CD tools & frameworks (Jenkins)
- Process re-engineering and data management skills
- Excellent understanding of networking standards (Ethernet, WLAN, TCP/IP, DNS) and Linux networking tools
- Experience in designing and implementing enterprise IT solutions
- Demonstrable development and/or scripting abilities
- Good understanding of web and application servers (node.js, nginx)
- Commitment to supporting a highly-available solution
- Understanding of the NoSql databases concept, understanding of CouchDB is a huge plus
- Good English written and verbal communication skills

Hours of work
The standard hours of work will be from 9:00 to 18:00 Bulgarian time with one-hour lunch. There will also be pre-scheduled on call support periods.
