The Business Intelligence Developer will manage the creation and maintenance of business intelligent solutions to enhance organizational decision making. This role will frequently interface with business leaders to assess front-end reporting and data analysis needs, develop and integrate solutions into departmental operations, and provide support with interpreting solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Meet with business leaders across departments to understand current front-end reporting and data analysis functionality; assess users needs; identify strengths, opportunities and gaps of current systems; work with Director of Data Services to establish a strategy to meet organizational needs.
- Leverage internal IT resources to design, develop, test and integrate business intelligence solutions into departmental operations. Follow-up with business leaders to ensure solutions are aligned to operations and being utilized properly.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support regarding the interpretation and implementation of business intelligence solutions. Explain technical information into easily understood concepts and resolve issues that arise.
- Build and maintain various reports, dashboards, presentations, charts, summaries and other tools used to visualize information to enhance business decision making.
- Compile and analyze data sets by writing SQL queries. Visualize data to produce concise and actionable analytical reports for business leaders.
- Manage ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests to find solutions for business inquiries.
- Monitor business intelligence solutions to ensure optimization and perform quality assurance testing to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Create and maintain system for documenting technical concepts, database mapping and procedures.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies regarding business intelligence practices. Evaluate, recommend and implement solutions that will enhance company operations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience and/or education
- Minimum 5 years experience in a role supporting technical business analytics
- High proficiency with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (SQL Server, SSRS, PowerBI)
- Proven ability to interface with executive and business leaders across an organization
- Proven ability to explain technical information into easily understood concepts and ideas
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or similar program
- Experience working in property management, real estate or similar industry
- Experience working in a fast pace, high-growth company
