We're looking for a Sr. Software Engineer (Distributed Systems) to expand our development team for the newly announced Atlas platform. The mission of Atlas is to make finding and navigating information on construction sites as easy as searching for a local coffee shop in our daily lives. Atlas, which is currently available via web, iOS and Android, features a map-centric interface where tasks, drone-imagery, schematics, GPS data and more are aligned by their real-world location. We believe in bringing consumer-quality experience to business apps.
About You

• You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering.

• You have built large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.

• You have designed and implemented critical, high performance, large scale services and libraries.

• You participate in the design and implementation of next generation systems.

• You provide detailed and constructive design and code reviews.

• You evangelize standards in library usage and end-to-end architecture.

• You have led multi-functional initiatives working with bright engineers across organizations.

• You seek opportunities to develop horizontal technologies that benefit multiple teams.

• You are able to read and write tests, hold pragmatic code coverage in high regard, and can explore and propose ways to incrementally improve code quality.

• You are curious about the AEC industry and want to be involved in building products for this process.

What wed love to see in you:

• You've worked with an RPC framework (e.g. gRPC, Thrift, Avro).

• You've implemented contract testing for a RESTful application.

• You can instrument a service with telemetry.

• You have experience with AWS or other Cloud offerings.

• You have contributed to open-source.

• You speak at meetups or conferences.

• You have exposure to GIS or web mapping tools.
