As a Senior Front End Developer, you'll work on the application retailers use to optimize their shoppers' experience - the GroupBy Command Center. Command Center is a rich set of tools written in React, used to control search, navigation, content, and analyze ecommerce performance.
What you'll be doing:
- Building new functionality using React.
- Guiding the architecture and development process (which you’ll co-own with your peers).
- Mentoring other developers on the team (teams are maximum 6 including you, often there are 2-3 developers you’ll be mentoring and grooming)
- Collaborating with product owners, UX designers and other development teams to find the best way to solve a problem.
- Working within an Agile team to plan the team’s work, track, deliver, and review.
You already have these skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Javascript web development, at least 3+ using frameworks other than jQuery
- Experience with React, Angular, Vue or other large front-end frameworks
- Experience with Redux, Sagas, and ES6
- Experience with TDD and testing frameworks and libraries
- Experience of creating responsive/mobile-first design, web standards, UI/UX best practices
- Experience of building websites that leverage REST APIs for render and functionality
- Experience working to UI specifications and identifying gaps in UX/UI specs provided
- Very strong English verbal and written communication skills
- You’re comfortable with version control (preferably Git) and continuous integration/deployment tools like CircleCI
And these are an asset:
- LESS/SASS experience
- Typescript experience
- Experience in creating SPA websites or working on items related to the ecommerce industry
- Bachelor degree or higher in a related vocation
