Visma Machine Learning team is growing, and we need even more talented people to join our exciting journey. This time, we are looking for an experienced software engineer who will join the team and take part in building and maintaining services and infrastructure.
The team consists of three data scientists and four software engineers - we are building world-class machine learning products that make accounting and invoicing more effective.
What you'll do
We are a small team where everybody is important and flair for team play is a must. Variety of tasks is wide and we are looking for candidates that are not afraid to attack problems head-on and have the ability to rapidly take on new technologies.
Some days the job entails writing Go packages that call C code, other days we are building Python REST apis and sometimes we build distributed Tensorflow infrastructure and debug memory issues in training pipelines.
Your responsibilities will be - and not limited to:
- Design, implement and test solutions written in Go or Python
- Take ownership of your daily work and contribute to our good team chemistry
- Participate in our discussions to improve and evolve our software and processes
- Help out data scientist to put machine learning models into production
- Take part in SRE on customer-facing services.
Minimum qualifications
- BS degree or better in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with software development in general purpose programming languages like Python, Go, Java, C/C++ and C#
- Experience with cloud solutions and/or running containerized workloads
Preferred qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of Go and Python
- Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, GRPC, Docker
- Scripting skills in shell, bash or another common language
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
- Knowledge of machine learning, tensorflow and data management
- Experience working with technologies under CNCF
- Contributions to open-source projects are a big plus
- Knowledge of SRE
