foodora is a Berlin-based food delivery service that partners exclusively with beloved local restaurants to deliver quality meals in 17 countries around the globe. We know the best that our cities offer and we’re bringing it online, enabling our customers to order their favorite food through our app (for iOS or Android) or web portal. We provide our restaurant-partners with an on-demand fleet of bicycle couriers, making it simple for customers around the world to access delicious meals.
We're currently expanding through Europe, Asia, Canada and we are always on the hunt for the brightest minds to join our team. Your mission:
- Implement tools and auxiliary infrastructure services to simplify, streamline, and secure development and operations workflows.
- Coach fellow Systems and DevOps Engineers on good development practices.
- Design, build, and maintain Delivery Hero’s core infrastructure.
- Partner with development teams to ensure their services meet production standards.
- Contribute to architecture and design discussions dedicated to the scalability and well-being of our platform.
- Work on disaster recovery tooling and processes to ensure business continuity.
- Maintain and improve service documentation to minimize mean time to repair.
- Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack.
Your heroic skills:
- You have knowledge of scalable production architectures (config management, monitoring, infrastructure-as-code, load balancing, CDNs, distributed systems).
- You have experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and some of the following technologies: CoreOS, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Prometheus, Concourse.
- You have sharp and tenacious troubleshooting skills: you can fix anything.
- You have experience being on-call and are able to respond to incidents in a calm manner.
- You are methodical and detail-oriented.
- You are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about software engineering best practices such as testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- You are able to prioritize team goals over individual goals.
- Fluent in English.
