You will join GoEuro’s Re-engagement team, where you will work on a variety of projects that aim at attracting users and making them travel with GoEuro for the first, second and hundredth time. We focus on re-engaging the users that have already used our service, inspiring them to come back and making sure that GoEuro becomes their go-to travel service.
To achieve this vision, you will do the following:
- Improve the Referrals, Vouchers, User Account and Notifications experience for GoEuro users (as well as other systems).
- Integrate with internal and external systems to improve GoEuro’s experience.
- Build, monitor and maintain various systems.
- Collaborate with other teams across the organization to solve challenging problems.
What we expect from you:
- You have a MS in Computer Science or equivalent, as well as 5+ years of experience building, deploying and maintaining large scale consumer facing software.
- Your make the right decisions using your strong data-driven mindset.
- You use your agile skills to own systems from development to production using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
- You strive for technical excellence while being able to deliver quickly when needed.
- You are a team player and help your teammates grow through peer reviews, pairing sessions or formal trainings.
- You break down complex tasks into smaller, actionable deliveries.
Furthermore, here’s a few insights on the stack we use:
- Our applications are (mostly) Spring Boot application deployed on Kubernetes on Google Cloud. We expect that you have experience building large scale distributed applications and deploying / maintaining them in a Kubernetes environment.
- We use relational and non-relational databases. We expect that you are familiar with building applications that manage relational as well as non-relational data at scale.
- Our applications communicate using a combination of REST APIs and messaging queues (Google PubSub). We expect that you are familiar with designing, building and integrating REST APIs as well as event-driven architectures.
- We monitor our applications using log and metrics tools such as ElasticSearch/Logstash/Kibana and Graphite/Grafana. We expect that your are experienced with building applications with monitoring and maintenance in mind.
If you have experience with other similar tools, we’d be more than happy to hear about them. Keeping our eye out for more accurate technologies is part of our daily job!
