Technical Team Lead (Amsterdam, NL)
FareHarbor, (part of Booking ) is looking for full-time, on-site Technical Team Leads in Amsterdam. We’re a quickly growing company with a robust product that tens of thousands of people use to run their businesses every day.
We are looking for both full-stack and backend engineering leaders to lead on-site engineering teams here in Amsterdam. You will be leading teams of 4 to 6 engineers and be a resource for everything technical your team is working on. You will own the technical strategy for your team and help other developers grow and improve their work.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a team of 4 to 6 developers with a focus on engineering performance growth and successful, on-time code deployment.
- Collaborate with other product team members to gather requirements, refine designs, tackle technical challenges, resolve issues, and launch features.
- Own the spec, design, and implementation of features in our large-scale, highly dynamic web application.
- Work across the stack to develop scalable, performant, well-tested solutions.
- Help improve our massive suite of automated tests.
- Participate in code reviews.
You should:
- Have 4+ years experience working with a production codebase and mission-critical systems.
- Be proficient with Python or other similar high-level programming languages.
- Have experience working with Django or other web application frameworks.
- Have experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and supporting them with documentation.
- Have experience gathering requirements, working with technical specifications, testing, and debugging.
- Be eager to learn whatever necessary to tackle problems head-on.
- Be passionate about getting things right.
- Be comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
- Be open to agile development methodologies.
