We are always seeking skilled, experienced software engineers to help us build out our products and services. Our engineering team works on a variety of areas providing exciting challenges for people with different skill sets and backgrounds. We build physical and virtual appliances, develop novel approaches to network traffic analysis & detection, advance open source Zeek, create & maintain cloud services and infrastructure, and provide APIs to customers as well as internally. And we are just starting.
Possible Roles
- Design and implement core software for our products
- Build APIs and microservices
- Develop Zeek packages and protocol parsers, or work on open source Zeek
- Integrate external technologies and products, such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, Kafka, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of software development on Unix-style platforms
- Experience programming in at least one popular systems-oriented programming language (such as Python, Go, or C/C++)
- Experience with Unix shell scripting (such as bash)
- Experience with common open source development work flows and tools (such as GitHub, Git, make, CMake, or CI systems)
Preferred Qualifications (depending on role)
- Experience with physical and virtual appliances, or embedded systems
- Experience developing for cloud environments and containers
- Experience developing packages and infrastructure for Linux distributions
- Experience implementing networking applications
- Experience designing and implementing modern user interfaces
- Experience implementing microservices and RESTful APIs
- Experience working with, or on, Zeek
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols and network security
