Primal Screen is looking for a developer who loves to learn and who wants to build websites and games to teach others. You will work closely with our animation and design team to bring characters to life, and your contribution will add surprise and delight to projects ranging from children’s media to museum installations…and more! What you will be doing
Using your skills and talents, you will work in our team-based environment to create:
- Web-based educational games with rich, high-quality animation (CreateJS, PixiJS, Springroll)
- Educational apps and games for iOS and Android (Unity, Cordova)
- Promotional microsites and web experiences
- Curriculum-focused tools and activities for new educational platforms
- Digital signage and interactive installations
- Internal tools, frameworks and scripts to streamline the production process
The ideal candidate will have these skills and traits:
- 2+ years development experience
- Proficiency with Javascript for front-end web or game development
- Ability to learn and quickly pick up new platforms and tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with artists and producers
- Flexible
- Collegial
- Client-centric
- Ability to work collaboratively in an atmosphere fostering dignity and respect
Extra credit for experience with any of the following:
- HTML, CSS, PHP, C#
- CreateJS or similar canvas frameworks
- Adobe tools and programs like Illustrator, Photoshop and Animate
- Unity or similar game development platforms
- Git or another version control system
- Gulp, Grunt or similar build tools
- Vue or similar front-end frameworks
- Cordova, Electron or other cross-platform app frameworks
