The team usually gets in to the office between 8-9am. The day starts with a stand-up where all the Dev and QA members gather for a 15 to 30-minute meeting where each person spends a few minutes talking about what they worked on yesterday, if they have any blockers and what they will be working on today. Each project works differently. Some projects have a 2-week sprint and we have Github/Zenhub boards where we track what items need to be worked on in that sprint and also to track bugs/backlog items. We assign tasks to ourselves from those boards, which we would like to work on.
On an as-needed basis, you will have meetings with a mentor or a pair programming session, or open office hours/white board that will help boost your knowledge base on our platform and assist your software engineering development. The team is very collaborative so we ask questions and get help whenever we need it. We are a fast paced team who believe in designing great software. We work on cutting edge technologies. We also like having fun! The team goes out to eat lunch together as our downtown location has great restaurants! During the day, people usually take breaks by playing ping-pong, foosball and all the games we have in our conference rooms!
