We are looking for an individual to create custom user interfaces for the unique specialty machines and systems that we build. We also have a core library that this individual would use and continue to develop for rudimentary, reoccurring needs. The applications can be quite graphical and often involve communication with other devices such as bar code scanners, laser markers, PLC’s, engine controller, robots and more. In some cases the application may also collect high speed DAQ data or control a machine. There is a good balance between sitting on the tube all day and seeing things work. There are opportunities to become multi-dimensional in the form of being exposed to other forms of engineering and having the opportunity to program different devices. We are always doing something different, so the boring factor is low!
Skills & Requirements
This person must have a Strong C# Background, know how to implement WPF but also support Winforms, be able to write robust, reusable code, be familiar with XML parsing, know about storing and retrieving data from files and familiar with using a version control system such as subversion. Having a creative/artful eye for design and an interest in science and engineering is important. This person will be smart and creative enough to architect a solution from scratch.
