Position Description
Service Fusion is looking for an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will be working closely with the Development team on a cutting edge AWS-hosted application to ensure the environment is built, configured, managed, and monitored correctly to support the business. You will help drive decisions on right-sizing servers and storage, troubleshoot performance issues, ensuring the highest level of security for the platform, and tune the environment for maximum scalability and reliability. Responsibilities
- Manage the state of all components in our Amazon cloud infrastructure.
- Manage overall site availability, latency, and system health.
- Manage monitoring environments determining alert strategies and tuning them in production.
- Monitor and troubleshoot site performance issues.
- Monitor for server and software vulnerabilities and manage upgrade and patching efforts.
- Develop and manage configuration scripts for Amazon hosted infrastructure.
- Work closely with development team and Technology management to ensure high availability and site security.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years as a Linux system administrator supporting enterprise computing platforms and systems.
- 2+ years experience running production systems at Amazon.
- Knowledge of Amazon EC2 including machine image management, storage.
- Experience with one or more Linux-based Configuration Management tools like: Chef, Ansible, Salt.
- Experience with shell scripting, Python scripting.
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience with MySql.setup, tuning, optimization, load-balancing, sharding
- Experience with site monitoring and log monitoring tools like: NewRelic, ThreatStack, Sumologic.
