Warsaw Software Development Center plays a crucial role in Viacom`s global engineering organization. We build highly efficient, advanced systems which are used by millions of users all over the world. Currently, we are looking for a rock solid Software Engineer in Test. We need someone with at least two years of experience in designing approaches and participating in the implementation of solutions to improve software from day one of the development lifecycles. Being one of the software engineers and while developing high-quality code you will be also writing tests and assuring that all crew members write appropriate UI/backend tests (functional, integration, performance, acceptance tests).
You will be responsible for:
- Building new and optimizing existing applications (serving heavy traffic, requiring high efficiency and resistant to failures)
- Creating technical documentation
- Designing and developing Java automated tests and integrating them in a CI environment
- Designing, preparing and participating in implementation of test cases
- Assuring that requirements, design, and other project deliverables meet standards
- Managing and monitoring defect reports and working with other software engineers and other project team members to provide and verify resolution
If you have:
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience (1+ years for an associate role) plus a Master’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent professional experience combined with a Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in test automation
- Ability to create performing approaches to testing RESTful web services and Web UI or mobile UI
- Knowledge of any common JVM language (e.g. Java, Scala)
- Knowledge of JUnit or TestNG or ScalaTest test frameworks
- Very good English language skills (verbal and written)
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration concepts
- Familiarity with BDD testing
- Comfort using (D)VCS (e.g. Git, SVN)
- Familiarity with Agile development process (Scrum, TDD)
- Experience with sbt or Maven
- Knowledge of Selenium browser automation or mobile UI automation
