To fulfil our opportunity for impact we need robust, well-maintained, well documented, well tested, well-managed and ambitious software development.We have challenges suitable for software engineers with extensive experience in both C++ and Python developing software systems and tools for multiple Linux and macOS platforms. We are currently looking for talented and experienced software engineers who are passionate about robotics and AI technology to contribute to building the infrastructure to accelerate the growth of our fleet of autonomous vehicles.
What you will do
- Take ownership of our Python software development across the company and ensure good software engineering principles while architecting sustainable solutions
- Champion best practices and work with algorithms developers to support high quality Python development
- Develop and deploy CI and tools to support Python developers
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve Python software
- Work closely with Deployment Teams to understand problems encountered in the field
- You will be able to implement and advise on software patches, configuration changes, and debugging procedures where applicable
- To work closely with researchers to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the existing code base
- Advise and train other Oxbotica software engineers on use of libraries and tools
- Partner with key developers to promote best practices
