We're looking for an engineer who integrates significant Linux experience, AWS knowledge, scripting abilities, information security and debugging skills to implement continuous integration, delivery and deployment to optimize the operational aspects of our platform.

The DevOps Engineer background includes experience in large-scale system administration and familiarity with open source and cloud services technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement reliable infrastructure components to deliver highly scalable services on the AWS platform

  • Help maintaining the overall health and performance of our web applications and services

  • Work with our development teams to enhance, document, establish processes and improve the operability and security of our systems

  • Integrate, operate and own some of our 3rd party enterprise applications and services.

Skills & Requirements

  • You're a DevOps practitioner who uses Linux every day, builds solutions using Docker and Jenkins and can work from a JIRA board with the rest of the team.

  • You care about your craft and the culture attached to it.

  • You're aware of new technologies and be keen to review and explore them when appropriate.

  • You fix things when they break.

  • You keep documentation on your fixes to build up a knowledge-base for people to reference.

  • You're the first point of contact for any of our development team members when they have a problem. Then work hard to resolve that issue.

  • You feed your opinions, backed by data and investigation, to our teams.

  • You're an active, contributing part of an agile engineering team.

  • You can read and write Linux shell scripting code, some PHP and some JavaScript.

  • You apply common application architectures based on best practices, but you're also brave to try out something new.

  • You're able and keen on setting up, configuring and running environments based on Docker, Git and AWS.

  • You're able to operate continuous deployment environments with source control and Jenkins.

  • You're focusing on diagnosing and fixing any problems that our users encounter. Also you can read the logs.

  • You're able to communicate with people in a supportive, empathetic and honest fashion.
