DUTIES: Provide technical leadership within teams responsible for supporting the Xfinity X1 Voice Control Platform (V-REX) responsible for developing advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies handling voice requests of millions of customers; perform object-oriented software development utilizing Java, REST API, and Agile methodologies, and produce software design patterns, technical designs, and documentation; develop Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies; utilize strong object-oriented skills, including Java server-side development, and strong working knowledge of object-oriented software development, including continuous integration, test-driven development, and automated unit and integration testing; utilize versioning tools such as GIT; perform high-scale, distributed web-service development, utilizing RESTful web services; utilize SQL and distributed databases such as Cassandra; develop service-oriented architectures and designs for scalability, performance, and reliability; utilize major open frameworks and platforms such as Spring and Docker; utilize knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and their command-line utilities and system administration tools and concepts; utilize understanding of distributed systems and micro-services; utilize search engines; utilize various data interchange and representation formats such as JSON and XML; collaborate with the Quality Assurance and Technical Operations teams to address technical queries.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree(or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; and 2 years of experience (can be gained prior to, during, or after the Master's) performing object-oriented software development utilizing Java, REST API, and Agile methodologies, and producing software design patterns, technical designs, and documentation.
