RESPONSIBILITIES
The Intelligence team is also required to identify and assess the capabilities and activities of cyber criminals or foreign intelligence entities and engage with peer groups and information security circles to review cyber threats and the development of global cyber policy.  The Threat Intelligence Engineer is responsible for the development of processes, tools, & strategy.  The tools, processes and strategies developed allow for intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination of finished products to security operations teams, information technology teams, information technology risk teams, and overall executive decision makers.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Develop tools to support malware analysis


  • Integration with network defense systems and external data feeds


  • System lifecycle planning for new and existing systems


  • Develop and deploy automated intelligence ingestion with scripting and API integration


  • Fault tolerant system design and implementation


  • Plan for vulnerabilities in systems through risk assessments and mitigating controls


  • Perform unit testing and system integration testing of newly-developed functionality


  • Integration of data analysis tools to enrich intelligence


  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to increase efficiency
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience


  • 3+ years experience as an engineer/developer in a Cybersecurity focused role.


  • Experience with malware.  i.e.  Indicator of Compromise (IOC), Dynamic (Behavioral) & Static (Code) Analysis


  • Knowledge of sandboxing, disassembly and /or debugging tools


  • Experience in designing, testing, and maintaining database repositories


  • Proficient in programming and scripting languages Java, JavaScript and/orPython


  • Experience with Linux (RHEL)


  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies


  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals to accomplish common goals


  • Proficiency in the use of skills tools, staying current with skills, participating in multiple forums


  • Experience with Agile and can work with at least one of the common frameworks is highly desired.


  • Ability to analyze vulnerabilities, threats, designs, procedures and architectural design, producing reports and sharing intelligence

  • Experience with & knowledge of the following technologies is a plus.


    • MySQL, DB2


    • Solr, Elasticsearch


    • Zookeeper


    • Jenkins


    • Docker or Kubernetes


    • Cuckoo Sandbox  or IBM Analyst's Notebook


  • CISSP certification a plus
