Product Manager at Big Huge Games (Lutherville-Timonium, MD)

Big Huge Games is looking for a mid to senior level Product Manager to help us grow our hit mobile strategy game DomiNations, as well as upcoming BHG titles! This is a very quantitative role - successful candidates will have solid experience in analyzing product data with an eye toward decision making. In this position you will work closely with design and analytics to gather player data, build new game systems in response to that data, and fine-tune our existing systems so the game is as fun and engaging as it can be.


Responsibilities:



  • Construct appropriate quantitative questions, synthesize data, and utilize analytic information to suggest game changes, sales, and events that would improve revenue outcomes, player retention, effective marketing strategies etc

  • After changes are made, analyze the outcomes to determine the need for improvement or lessons to be applied to other aspects of the game

  • Suggest tools and process improvements to help scale live operations to future Big Huge Games endeavors

  • Apply statistical techniques to product decision making – primarily focused on revenue generation through sales and limited time events

  • Construct and evaluate A/B tests and experiments to improve the choice and direction of sales and live events

  • Compose and implement analytical exploration of data using SQL, Excel, R or equivalent tools

  • Present information on game and studio health in user-friendly formats for consumption by larger audiences


Required Skills:



  • MBA/Masters or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years experience in games/web/mobile app product, management consulting, startups, etc in a quantitative and/or product capacity

  • Exceptional ability to construct quantitative analyses to answer behavioral and product usage questions with an eye toward actionable information

  • Experience with utilizing descriptive and predictive statistical techniques in product decision making

  • Demonstrated success presenting complex data and ideas in a clear and compelling fashion

  • Strong written, verbal, and visual presentation skills

  • Self-motivated and team oriented with solid organizational skills
