Job Description

As a part of Higher Logic's Product Development team, the Senior Front-End Engineer is responsible for producing new user-facing experiences using React and TypeScript. As a senior member of the team, you will play a role in defining standard practices, leading front-end projects and mentoring other engineers. Our Front-End team is talented, ambitious and passionate about building great user experiences. We are looking for someone who shares the desire to develop elegant, modern UIs and truly LOVES JavaScript.

Qualifications

• 
  
• At least 3 years of experience using JavaScript in a SAAS product development environment.
• 
  
• Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• 
  
• Experience with of at least one JavaScript application framework such as React, Vue, Angular or Backbone.
• 
  
• The ability to optimize JavaScript applications for maximum performance across different devices/browsers.
• 
  
• Experience with consuming RESTful APIs.
• 
  
• Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling.
• 
  
• Experience with front-end build and package management tools such as Webpack, NPM and Gulp.
• 
  
• Experience working with Version Control Systems (Git, Mercurial).
• 
  
• A passion for creating awesome user experiences.
• 
  

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• 
  
• Experience working with React.
• 
  
• Experience with ES6 and TypeScript.
• 
  
• Experience with LESS or SASS.
• 
  
• Understanding of the best practices for accessibility development.
• 
  
• Comfort with the command line.
