As a Software Test Engineer at Infinite Energy you will be part of a dedicated team working to provide custom software from conception to release. You will be responsible for coordinating quality assurance across multiple teams by creating quality metrics, defining and implementing comprehensive test plans and promoting test methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in designing and executing test plans to help ensure software reliability, availability and quality
- Provide a toolchain that software engineers can use to continuously test different levels of software across multiple stages of the development process
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Provide quick, reliable, and easy to interpret script results and dashboard reports to raise awareness of software quality
- Assist with mapping business and technical requirements into test suites, test cases and test scripts
- Advocate for monitoring and alerting of production system and critical business processes.
Requirements
- Experience developing build, testing, and deployment automation
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience defining and measuring KPI’s for software quality
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about motivating others to adopt quality assurance methodologies.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 6+ years of experience
Pluses
Experience or familiarity with the following or similar:
- Experience with frontend test frameworks, including Browserstack, Selenium, Protractor, Nightwatch, Jest
- Experience with backend test frameworks, such as MSTest, Nunit
- Experience with code quality tools, such as SonarQube, ESLint, Code Climate
- Experience with AngularJS, React, Bootstrap
- Experience with ASP.Net WebApi2, Webforms
- Experience with .NET framework / .NET Core including TPL, Unity, WCF, LINQ, Entity Framework
- Certifications: ISTQB CTFL, ISTQB Agile Testing, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer or ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer
