Job Duties and Responsibilities

Write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming language and technologies – C, python, JavaScript. Complete documentation and procedures.      Develop software APIs/SDKs for industrial controllers.     Develop embedded software for microprocessors and microcontrollers.     Develop user friendly and attractive web apps.     Determine hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.      Influences coding conventions and software development standards within the company.     Plan and coordinate several small projects; make decisions independently.

 Education and Experience

 Bachelors of Science in Engineering or other technical field.     Minimum 4 years of related experience. 

 Preferred Skills and Abilities

Experience storing and retrieving data from SQL database.     Experience in development and management of data aggregation, databases and web servers.     Experience with device discovery (SSDP).     Experience with communication over Web Services.     Experience with XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.     Experience with developing within real-time operating systems.     Experience with version control tools.     Agile / Scrum / XP development best practices.     Knowledge of Industrial Automation machines or standards. Knowledge of communications protocols such as CAN, RS485, TCP/IP, MODBUS, Profinet, EthernetIP Experience with socket-based communication with other processes / systems strongly preferred.
